Dr. Agustin Vega Santiago
Dr. Vega was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. His passion for medicine began after watching the interaction between his father, who was a medical sales representative, and the physicians he used to visit. As a young boy he admired the passion and dedication of the physicians to their patients and their vocation.
He attended Universidad de Puerto Rico, Arecibo campus to complete his bachelor’s in microbiology.
He earned his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico.
Afterward, he accomplished his Internal Medicine residency at Hospital de la Concepcion in San
German Puerto Rico and subsequently his training in Infectious Disease at Orlando Regional Medical
Center in Orlando, Florida.
Currently, holds certifications from American Board Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease Board.
Additionally, he is affiliated to Advent Health Hospital.
In his spare time, Dr. Vega enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and watching sports. He is
conversant in English and Spanish.
Dr. Vega is known for attention to detail to each of his patient’s case, his organization and competence.
He hopes to improve patient outcome by building lasting relationships with his patients and thus
enabling effective preventive care.
